Senior Software Engineer
Dr. Weber is a multidisciplinary researcher focusing on software engineering, specializing in real-time image processing and 3D visualization applications, with over a decade of experience working with the OpenCV, Qt, and OpenGL libraries. He holds a Master’s degree from Harvard in Information Technology with a concentration in Software Engineering, a Ph.D. from Duke in Neurobiology, a BA from UCSD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and was a sergeant and electronic technician in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Weber published the ProteinShader program, an open source molecular visualization program using Java, OpenGL, and OpenGL Shading Language. He has taught university computer science courses and developed software in a variety of languages including: C/C++, Java, MATLAB/Octave, UNIX, UML, Perl, Lisp, HTML, and others. Dr. Weber has numerous publications in the fields of computer science, neurobiology, and molecular biology.
